I work with couples, individuals, children and young people, supporting them in improving their emotional and mental well-being. I adopt a psychological approach by using specific models to support you finding your own answers and meeting your emotional and practical life goals.
My approach is down to earth and realistic, with a genuine care for your emotional and mental well-being. It is important to me that you feel emotionally safe, connected, listened to and not judged when working with me. I believe I have good grasp, and understanding of how difficult it can be when going through tough times. Since qualifying in 2007, I have added Cognitive Behavioural (CBT), Solution Focused, Person Centred and Transnational Analysis techniques to my skills, and I work in an integrative way with you. My approach may also include Psychodynamic and Systemic therapy.
Area of Expertise:-
Relationship counselling. Individual counselling for trauma, depression, anxiety, abuse, relationships, OCD, Self-harming behaviours. Children and young people counselling (age 8+) for sexuality, social media, exams, anxiety, low moods, relationships, self harm, suicidal thoughts, body image and relationships.
Qualifications & Experience:-
Full member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) I have spent the past 15 years working as a Relate Counsellor and Life Coach. Alongside this, I have built up a successful private practice over the past 6 years.
